UCD’s Building Stories expands effort to map and solve housing vacancy crisis
Armed with €690,000 in National Challenge Fund backing, UCD’s Building Stories project is scaling its AI-powered platform to track housing vacancy across Ireland. New “Living Labs” in Monaghan and Cork will combine satellite data with citizen science to help authorities revitalise town centres, cut emissions, and repurpose vacant properties.
